“ I absolutely loved my visit to Elliston Place Soda Shop! The authentic 50's ambiance transported me back in time and made the experience so special. Our server, Holly, was delightful--attentive, friendly, and added to the charm of the meal. The crème brûlée French toast was nothing short of decadent, and the buttery biscuits were absolutely delicious. I'm already planning to come back for lunch and to try one of their milkshakes. Highly recommend! ”
“ The perfect comfort food! I got the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and creamed corn. Everything incredible, fried chicken was so juicy. Topped it off with a chocolate malt shake. Our server was so nice! SO GOOD. I can't wait to be back and try literally everything else on the menu. The 50s vibe was so cozy and cute :) ”
“ Elliston place is such a gem in Nashville. This old-fashioned style diner has been a staple in Nashville for a long time. With so many new restaurants opening I find myself seeking out places like this that feel like a slice of old Nashville. The servers are so nice and they have the same lady Miss Linda, who has been making pies for over 30 years. Her famous SkyHigh meringue pie is incredible. I'm not sure how she gets the egg whites so fluffy like she does, but the pies are remarkable. Pies aside I love the old-fashioned jukebox and the food is also comfort food. I really like their build a biscuit sandwich which I like to get scrambled eggs, cheese and bacon and their biscuits are so fluffy. Out outside of their home fries and your and a cup of coffee and your set to go. On many occasions, we've gone to their walk up window, especially in summer and ordered one of their old-fashioned malt shakes the way that they do shakes with a phosphate is very cool and has that different flavor. I would be so sad if the spot ever went away, please go support them and ensure their safety here in a city full of new and shiny things this is a spot to protect it all costs. ”
“ Catfish and hush puppies were excellent. Onion Rings and Cole Slaw were excellent. Had a bite of the cherry cobbler with ice cream, excellent. Chocolate/Strawberry malted, excellent. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is excellent. The server was excellent. Cornbread, meh, and the merengue pies looked excellent. Would recommend and we will be returning for breakfast tomorrow, it looks really good. ”
“ Such a fun experience! We loved showing our daughter the juke box and had fun choosing songs while waiting for our food. Came here on a Thursday for lunch and so glad we did! We were at a nearby playground and got this recommendation from a Nashville local. We were able to snag a booth right away and had a great server (Holly). She was personable and so incredibly patient with our daughter throughout the meal. She refilled our drinks without us even asking and got us to-go cups when she found out we were on a road trip. So thoughtful! The food was absolutely delicious. I had meatloaf, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes, knowing I would be sharing my meal with our daughter. The biscuit was saved for later, but it was likely the best biscuit I've ever had. It was super fluffy and light on the inside. Doesn't get much better! ”
“ Travel back to the 50's with a vist to this cute soda shop restaurant. Booths are even equipped with your very own jute box! Although the only music that was being played was country. The tables had a jute box by the wall. The jute box theme was even carried through to the rest room where walls were adorned with framed 45 records. The food tasted like home-made. I enjoyed a hamburger with greens. Other side choices included fried okra as well as the traditional french fries. We topped off our lunch with a root beer float! Service was great and fast! Even faster than McDonald's! There was also outside seating. I came with my service dog and had no problem as we had at other places during our trip. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for lunch during your stay in Nashville! ”
“ Hanging around Vanderbilt and needed a fast place to grab lunch. This place was fast and comforting. The staff work together to make sure that you get your order quickly. They have a diverse menu with much to choose from. You can get some spicy favorites or opt for all veggies. I had an elaborate order planned before I turned my head and saw the stack of shake cups... so the plans changed to save room for a shake. Orange is unique. Vanilla can't lose. For those who are fond of the 1950s and 1960s, you'll hear your favorite earworms. Cheer up, sleepy Jean. Oh, what can it mean to a Daydream believer and a Homecoming queen? ”
“ If you are looking for good food and fast service, come here! We stopped by for brunch on a weekday and we were seated right away. The hostess was friendly as she greeted us when we walked in, and she dropped off menus as we sat down. We looked over the menu and it was simple and fast to look over. The server came over soon after and she took our orders. I ordered the #1 (two eggs, bacon, side of home fries and biscuit) I also asked for a side of gravy and sausage and I got a strawberry soda with the added "Zinger". My sister ordered the fried chicken and biscuit entrée. (fried chicken, with two eggs & pepper gravy) Food didn't take too long for it to arrive and it looked so good once it was brought out. It was a lot of food and everything was great. The sausage tasted really good and had a great flavor. I also really enjoyed the potatoes as they were hot and had a nice crunch on the outside. The biscuit with gravy tasted soooooooo good. The biscuit was moist, airy, and warm. The chicken was delicious and had a good taste to it. The only thing we didn't like was the soda with the added phosphate. That has got to be one of the nastiest drinks I've ever tried...... The inside was clean and its decorated nicely for the holidays. Service was good, food was great, and we had a good time. ”
“ We had a reservation for breakfast for a party of 6 on Friday, 10/13/23, at 10:00 am. There were plenty of open tables, but a reservation would probably be a good call on a weekend! I wish I remembered our waitress's name. She was wonderful! I got the Three Egg Omelet ($11.99). It was very good with a very generous amount of vegetables! The biscuit and potatoes were great! I got the Cherry Famous Soda ($4.99). Would not recommend. It didn't have much flavor. Others got the Fried Chicken & Biscuits ($12.99) and Two Pancakes & Two Eggs ($13.99) and they enjoyed them. Good service and good food! ”
